That one is very tricky. I had my entire dash out but I think it was when I dropped the steering column down.
I used BA9's in the dash. And a 1157 led amber in the park lights which looks great. I couldn't get the 1157 led's to fit in the tail light assembly. Not sure why still working on that.

Re: LED lighting
Thanks for posting that. I just did the same thing but included led parking lights. I have the led's for the rest of the exterior but so far haven't changed them yet. I also just upgraded the head lights to halogen.

Re: Body Mounts
Thanks. I did solve my body mount problem. I actually bought a set of universal mounts from energy suspension. With some tweeking I was able to make them work and they're polyurethane to boot. Thanks for the offer tho.

Re: Will this work?
this doesnt sound correct. nailhead manifolds only differed in width across. always have some one measure across before buying a nailhead manifold. most people dont know there are different sizes and most people dont know what size engine they have. just a heads up

Re: lowering a 58 buick
although I dont recommend it, you could cut or heat the springs. cutting is usually better start by cutting 1/2 coil at a time til you get the ride height your after. I have also heard of people bringing a spring to a parts store and searching for a shorter one but these cars are heavy and who knows ...
