Dining Room
The dining room did not need much work. The wallpaper, on three of the four walls, came with the house when I bought it and goes well with the Duncan Phyfe dining room set. After Hurricane Ike, the wood floors had to be redone, so I painted the trim and baseboards. I used two colors from the wallpaper and painted the blank wall and the ceiling to tie everything together. The first picture was taken just after I moved the furniture back in and shows the china cabinet. The crystal and dishes are still packed in the boxes.
Next is the buffet and mirror.
The view from the living room. The desk behind the table is now in my office. To the left is a working 1921 Columbia Grafanola
Ready for guests. Note the new chandelier that I found.
Close up. This Czechoslovakian crystal chandelier is from about 1930.
