1950 O'Keefe & Merritt
1950 O'Keefe & Merritt Gas Range
I purchased this O'Keefe & Merritt range locally in 2004. The model number is 425-1. It is 34 1/2 inches wide. Most ranges of this era were 36 inches wide or larger. I looked for quite awhile to find this one: I don't have 36 inches of space for a stove. The stove and the refrigerator next to it barely fit - there is no gap between the two or between them and the cabinets. I had the brightwork rechromed, the safety valve and thermostat rebuilt, and replaced two door handles. This baby really cooks great!
