Post by HotRod58er »

What kind of reference books are there for those who want to restore there baby to 100% 1957/58 condition? to start off I have something very handy 'interchange manual! :P body sections from one model to the other/buicks, caddys, chevys, old, and pontiacs. Kind of nifty to. shows how to take certain parts apart like the front end/suspention, etc.

I have the two shop manuals: Chassis service (mechanics) and body, as well as one of the best things I've spent money on: the 1958 Chassis and Body Parts book. This has all part numbers for every single little thing - a great tool for verifying parts listed on ebay. I can tell if a '58 Buick part is for only the small series, large series, or for both series.

Not sure what other books are available. Have you looked at CARS, Inc? They are one of the larger suppliers that carry parts for '58 Buicks, including literature:

Other cars:
1953 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup
1957 Pontiac Transcontinental Safari
1968 Ford Galaxie 500 HT
1977 Lincoln Continental Convertible

hmm. I should check them out. That is where I got a couple parts for my B-59. You know this website should team up with teh 59 buick website! I know the 'top dogs' on there and that would do both our years of cars good! its Buick-59.com. Talk to BHClark. I think that putting both Buick websites together would make us bring in more members! (b-59ers).
