Man, it feels good to put stuff together.

Those pesky french locks don't fit very well. There wasn't enough arch to reach both bolt holes. I've never had that problem before.

I was in a photo-taking mood today...got it out before the sun went down and buzzed around the block a couple times with it. Man, it runs great!

I decided to repaint the black recessed areas in the rear insert area...turned out nice. It makes a huge difference.

I used two different methods to mask it. I first used the thin 1/8" or 3/16" masking tape...that was great for the long narrow bits, but masking the Roadmaster 75 script was interesting...I took 2" blue painters tape and just ran it along the outside of the letters...pretty much just blanketing the script. I also used the blue tape on all of the surrounding areas and large trim bits.

I then used some semigloss spray paint and went to town spraying a thin coat, so as not to let the paint bleed behind the tape.

I received a silver award at the BCA national meet last weekend. Still lots of work to do before I can reach the elusive gold senior :)

Congrats Adam.
I think that is terrific considering the short time you had to work on the car.

You should have no problem attaining Gold/Gold Senior in Springfield in 2015. I'm assuming you're not driving to Portland?

I was only 10 points from a gold...so yes it is attainable. My biggest bad spot was the undercarriage and the wrong size tires. It has 7.60's on it now, and needs 8.00....not sure I want to burn that much money just for 4 points.
