How to disassemble drive train

We are a repair shop for American cars in Germany and are working on a 1958 Buick Limited convertible with a growling noise from the rear end. As we never worked on a car with a torque tube we look for an drawing of the construction somewere in the internet before we start to disassemble. Is there somewhere a manual how to overhaul the rearend ?

I have a shop manual, I'll try to scan the section on the rear end for you.

*EDIT* I tried to scan, but my manual will not lay flat and edges are cut off. Here is a link to a site that has the Buick shop manual on CD for $55.00:
